Cicada Black Edition

Housed on a matte 4x6 card with printed image, logo, hand-numbered numbered and signed artist edition cicada sticker of 56. 
 
There are several cicada species, but I decided to simply take elements of a few different species to come up with this design. These insects have an unmistakable shape, and the wings were certainly the most difficult to draw. I had to draw them in segments first and then combine each wing with lines to create the veins.
